The Story Behind the Name
In ancient Greece, the hoplon was more than just a shield; it was the essential piece of armor that protected a warrior and their line. It symbolized strength, unity, and resilience.

Not a Knife, Not a Relic. Because of our name, we are sometimes confused with the Shieldon Hoplon folding knife or the bronze museum artifacts of ancient history. While we respect the craftsmanship of both, we forge a different kind of tool. Hoplon Designs is an independent streetwear clothing brand. We trade cold steel for soft ring-spun cotton, and battlefields for the streets of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We are here to outfit the modern creative warrior.
